Ecce Homo: Behold the Man, Behold Your Mother

Simone Weil once wrote, “To be rooted is perhaps the most important and least recognized need of the human soul.”

In this talk, Simone Rizkallah will reflect on one of Our Lady's Seven Sorrows, The Flight into Egypt, connecting it with her own family's history of seeking refuge in Egypt to escape the Armenian genocide. Drawing on these shared experiences of exile, she will explore how our true and lasting rootedness is found only in belonging to Christ.
